Michael Thomas Johnson Jr.

Michael Thomas Johnson Jr, 90, of Fort Wayne, died on September 23, 2016. Born on March 21, 1926, in Lima, Ohio; he was a son of the late Michael T. and Kathryn (nee Sealts) Johnson Sr. Mr. Johnson proudly served his country in the United States Air Force; he was a member of the American Legion Post #28 and the Knights of Columbus, in Key West, Florida and retired as a Manager of Manufacturing at ITT Aerospace. He will be missed by his golfing buddies and many friends.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joan (nee Gladieux) Johnson; children, Janel Johnson, Jennifer (Michael) Healy and Michael (Katherine) Johnson III; grandchildren, Emily and Sean Arata, Joan (Casey) Johnson and Lily (Cirrus) Streidieck; three great-grandchildren; brother, Robert; and sisters, Joan, Kathleen and Kandy. He was also preceded in death by his son, Scott Johnson; and brother, Brice Johnson.

Funeral service will be 6pm, Monday, September 26, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 3 to 6pm, prior to the service. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to the Knights of Columbus, Council #3652, 1010 Windsor Lane, Key West, Florida 33040.
