Michael Wayne Davidson, 59, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday evening September 3, 2024. Michael was born on December 23, 1964, to Richard and Shirley (Bowman) Davidson in Bluffton, Indiana. He was a faithful Christian that graduated from Grace Christian school in 1983. Michael was a proud patriot who enlisted in the Air National Guard after high school. He served locally with the 122nd Fighter Wing as a member of the Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and served his country for eight years. He had a successful 40-year career as an Automotive Technician, most recently working for Gerber Collision and Glass. He was always willing to utilize his skills and knowledge to help his loved ones any time they needed work done on their vehicles. Michael married his life partner, Tomra Carpenter, on September 15, 1984. Through thick and thin, they loved one another and stuck by each other’s side. They just recently celebrated their 40th anniversary with a lovely vacation. Michael’s children and grandchildren were his everything. Nothing made him prouder than his role of being a Papa and Pawpaw to them. He enjoyed camping and the outdoors, played hockey in his younger years, was a jack of all trades, inventor, lover of all animals, and was so proud of his Scottish heritage. Michael is survived by his wife, Tomra (Carpenter) Davidson; his daughters, Sara (Jason) Watts and Heather Caldwell; four grandchildren, Jacoby, Alton, Breslin, and Zaden; as well as his mother, Shirley (Halon) Walton; brothers, Steven and Jeremy Davidson; step siblings; father-in-law, Gary Carpenter; mother-in-law, Pamela (Denny) Ginder; and brother-in-law, Jason (Osyth) Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Davidson; and sister, Jennifer Davidson.
