Maynard D. Fisher, 86, of Fort Wayne passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023. He was born on August 29, 1936 in Huntington, Indiana, a son of the late Rollyn and Ola (Christ) Fisher. He graduated from Huntington North High School. He worked as a teletype and data repairman as well as a lineman for Bell Telephone Company that later became AT&T. He was a lifetime member of the American Telephone Pioneers. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting, restoring, and racing cars. He also enjoyed going to car shows. Golfing, fishing, boating, water skiing, traveling, and going on cruises were other passions of his. Surviving family include his children, Angela (Chuck) Didion, Jack (Kristian Smith) Fisher, Jerry (Janis) Fisher, and Pat Fisher; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife, Lydia (Herron) Fisher; son, Michael Fisher; grandson, Alex Epps; and brother, Spencer Fisher. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
