Maxine Lucille Booth

Maxine Lucille Booth. 95, went to her heavenly home on February 3, 2023. She was born in Crediton, Ontario, Canada on September 27, 1927. After her father’s passing in 1934 she resided in Adelaide, Ontario, with her mother and two sisters. After graduating from Wells Academy Business College, London, Ontario, in 1944, she moved to Fort Wayne, her mother’s birthplace, with her mother and two sisters. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, singing in the choir and attending weekly Bible studies. She was employed by Lincoln National Life Insurance Company as a secretary and administrative assistant, retiring in 1991. In 1993 she moved to Largo, Florida, and was involved in church activities, secretary of the women’s Dorcas Club and weekly Bible studies. She was a member of the Fletcher Music Club in Largo, enjoying playing the organ, singing and dancing. In 2005 she moved back to Fort Wayne where she resided until her death. She is survived by her son, Charles C. Booth Jr and her beloved nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents, Samuel J. and Hazel Finkbeiner, sisters, Colleen Fuller and Shirley Caldwell.
Funeral service will be 1:30 pm. Friday February 10, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation from 12-1:30 pm.
