MAURICE "MAURY" H. POWERS, 70, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013. He was born July 20, 1942, Whitley County, Ky. He was a son of the late Charlie and Roxie Powers. He grew up Faith Baptist and enjoyed NASCAR and fishing. He worked for Ward Pattern for six years, and Fort Wayne Foundry for 21 years. He is survived by his wife,Linda (Nimmo) Powers; sons, Ray (Rhonda) Powers, Condon Powers, and Gregg (Judy) Powers; sister, Ruby Bell; grandchildren, Lindsey Rae (Adam) Miracle, Autumn (Trent) Wilson, Condon M. "Dugan" Powers, Zachariah Powers, David Jones, Jena Powers, and Austin, great-grandchildren, Cameron, Colton, and Jesse. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Terry; and sisters, Dina and Vina. Funeral service is 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with calling from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens.
