Mary Lou Wise, 84, passed peacefully on December 23, 2020. She graduated from South Side High School in 1954 and attained her Associate's Degree at IU. She worked in the transportation business, retiring in 1992 to travel with her husband, George. Mary loved to play Scrabble, read books, and spend time with family and friends.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Lynda Orr; step-sons, Rev. Kenneth (Sue) Wise and Daniel (Carol) Wise; sister, Becky Easley; brothers, Tom (Carol) Miller, David (Ann) Miller, and Steve (Carolyn) Miller; grandchildren, Heidi Orr, Amy Wise, Catherine Wise, and Matthew (Anna) Wise; one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; and lifetime friends, Liz Ackerman and Sally Stillwell. Mary was preceded in death by her son, Michael Kuehn, and her husband, George Wise.
A private service will be held for Mary. Calling will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021, from 2-5 PM at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home. Calling will also be from 12:30-1:30 PM on Sunday, January 3 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Covenant UMC or The Salvation Army.
