Mary was employed by Our Sunday Visitor for 13 years before becoming a fulltime mother and homemaker. She was a devout Catholic who enjoyed gardening and watching Indiana Basketball. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, David Stump; and four brothers, Paul, Phillip, John and Jerry Meyer. She leaves to cherish her memory her son; Anthony "Tony" (Delaine) Stump of Fort Wayne; daughters, Joann (Mark) Holly of Cincinnati, OH, and Amy (Les) Williams of Fort Wayne; sisters, Irene Mascazine and Joan (Jerry) Miller; and one brother, Basil Meyer; 18 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also take place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Highland Park Cemetery.
