Mary A. Hanson Raffety

Mary A. Raffety, 66, of Ft Wayne, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Lutheran Hospital. She was born May 24, 1944 in Swea City, IA. She was a homemaker and a member of Sonrise United Methodist Church. She was involved with the golf league at Walnut Creek and active in Friday night golf outings at Norwood Golf Course. She enjoyed sports, of all kinds. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandhchildren. Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Francis E. "Joe" Raffety, of Ft Wayne; three daughters, Anita (Tom) Ford, of Grinnell, IA; Leslie (Jon) Hembree, of Ft Wayne and Mary Jo (Kris) Hardiman, of Ft Wayne; eight grandchildren, Nathan, Jarren and Alisha Ford, Jenna and Leah Hembree, Aubrey, Isaac and Knox, two brothers, Harvey (Marilyn) Hanson, of Estherville, IA and Harlan (Barbara) Hanson, of Orlando, FL and her mother, Lillian Hanson, of Graettinger, IA. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Hanson, in 1992. Funeral Service is 11:00am Wednesday at Sonrise United Methodist Church, 10125 W. Illinios Rd. with calling 1 hr prior.
