Mary Adelaide Prickett Price

Mary Adelaide Prickett Price, 110, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at her lake cottage, embraced by family and friends. Mary celebrated her 110th birthday in June and was regaled with 400-plus cards from those whose lives she touched. Mary earned degrees from Depauw University and NYU. She had a long and storied life and career, finally retiring from teaching when she was 92. Mary was born on June 26, 1912 in Gas City, Indiana, to Lora Alden Prickett and Anna Nancy Prickett. In 1938, she married her high school love, Dr. A. David Price, and is survived by her four children, Mary Ann Swain, David Price, Martha Bifano, and Jeannette Price Schmidt. Her life has also been enriched immeasurably by nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. "The idea is not to live forever, but to create something that will." ~ Andy Warhol.
