MARY E. KLINGLER, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2014. She was born May 1, 1919 in Fort Wayne, the daughter of the late James and Matilda Crowe. Mary's life was devoted to loving and caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting afghans for her family. She loved to dance. She worked for a short time painting photographs. One of her favorite things to say was "I love Christmas" even if it was not in season. Some of her favorite quotes were "Been there, done that", "it will go away" and finally the "Old grey Mare, she ain't what she used to be". Surviving are her husband, Karl Klingler; daughter, Carole (Alan) Geiger; sons, K. Thomas Klingler, Jim Klingler, and Bob (June) Klingler; 13 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann Buonomo. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Saint Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to Saint Anne Home.
