Mary Ann Dohrmann, 96, of Fort Wayne, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 24, 2022. Born on December 5, 1925, in St Louis, Missouri, she was a daughter of the late John and Bessie (nee Selden) Boehm.
Mary Ann was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, and flew in the Civil Air Patrol during WWII. She worked for Nobbson's for 19 years, was a model for Wolf and Dessauer Department Store for 13 years, a former owner of Century of Fashion, a Past-President of the Holy Cross Women’s Guild, Past-Treasurer of the Valparaiso Women’s Guild, as well as a past board member of the YWCA of Fort Wayne, and the League for the Blind. Mary Ann was a world traveler, an author of children’s stories, and was an active leader of the Towne House Social Activities. Above all, her faith and her family were first in her life.
She is survived by her husband, William Wareham; children, Jean (William) Bruening, Thomas (Beth) Dohrmann, Mary (Mike) Wyss, James (Jill) Dohrmann, and Barbara (Dan) Arnold; step-children, William W. Wareham II, and Judith L. Griffiths; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Dohrmann; and sister, Betty J. Pitliangas.
A graveside services to honor Mary Ann's life will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, 5300 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne. Arrangements have been entrusted to D.O. McComb & Sons Mapelwood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne.
