Martha Jean (Zimmerman) Jones, age 90, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on September 11, 2024. She was born on May 23, 1934, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Martha married Robert T. Jones on October 18, 1952, who predeceased her.
Martha went to North Side High School. She was a homemaker and worked at Walker Research. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and King’s Daughters Association. She enjoyed playing card games like bridge and Euchre, dancing, reading and bowling.
She is survived by her children, Robert F. (Cindy) Jones of Fort Wayne, Marcy (Stephen) Rutledge of Fort Wayne, Cheri (John) Sulkoske of Pittsboro, Indiana, Richard Jones of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Travis Jones of Fort Wayne, Sean Jones of Fort Wayne, Blake (Mary) Jones, of Fort Wayne, Sarah (Ryan) Ades, of Avon, Indiana and Emma (Molly) Sulkoske, of Olympia, WA; great-grandchildren, Ayden Jones of Fort Wayne, Rylee Ades of Avon, Indiana; and Baby Ades due in December.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Mildred Zimmerman.
A visitation will be at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes - Covington Knolls, Monday September 16, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral will be on Tuesday September 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM, at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home- Covington Knolls. Entombment to follow at Covington Memorial Gardens Fort Wayne, Indiana.
