Marlene Joann Anderson, age 88, of New Haven, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the Golden Years Nursing Home. Marlene was born in Fort Wayne, IN on February 1, 1936. She graduated from Central High School. Marlene worked as a deli clerk for Meijers on Maysville Road. She enjoyed playing cards and socializing. Marlene is survived by her daughters: Jennifer (David) Shanebrook; Barbara (Larry) Higgenbotham; Rebecca (John) Clark; her sons: Donald (Michelle) Beard and Larry (Patty) Beard; her grandchildren: Garrett, Daulton, Destiney, Dustin, Jamie, Steven, Nicholas and Michael and numerous great-grandchildren; her sister, Diane (Bob) McMahon. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Dorothy Hevel; two brothers, Jack Hevel and Ted Hevel. Per Marlene's wishes there will be no services.
