Marjorie K. "Marj" Arnett

A proud lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, Marjorie was a 1962 graduate of South Side High School. She married David P. Arnett in the fall of 1964 and they were married for 40 years until his passing in 2005.

Marj dedicated over 30 years of service as a custodian with East Allen County Schools where she was known for her hard work, warmth, and friendly spirit. Outside of work she was a member of the Tiger Lillies Garden Club where she cherished spending time with some of her closest friends.

Marjorie had a passion for travel visiting 49 of the 50 states in her lifetime. However, her greatest joy was being a mom and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Christopher (Cheryl) Arnett, Lori-Lynn (Eric) Jones, and Ryan (Trudy) Arnett; and her beloved grandchildren, Ian, Aidan, Cole, Ashton, and Libby.

She was preceded in death by her sister and dear friend, Barbara Boyd.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 pm on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow services in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials in Marjorie's memory may be made to Heartland Hospice or American Alzheimer's Association.
