Marie L Bright

Marie L. Bright, 94, of Fort Wayne, passed away on January 10, 2018, at Golden Years Homestead. Born on January 8, 1924, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late George and Helen Roesener, and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon M. Varner, and Donna Jean Bauer; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donovan G. Bright; daughter, Carol Lee Bull; grandchildren, Kevin Varner, and Lisa Rockhold; brothers, Walter and Wayne Roesener; and sister, Lucille Zurbrugg.

Funeral service will be 1pm, Monday, January 15, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 6pm, Sunday, January 14, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to the Wayne Roesener Memorial Education Foundation at Concordia Lutheran High School, or Heartland Hospice, Fort Wayne.
