MARIANNE K. JOHNSON, became "our Christmas gift" on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, "and we grieve not your being set free from this life of joy and challenge. You join our dad Richard "Dick", grandson Justin, great-grandson Braxton, and a host of family who went before you." A wife, mother, grandmother, gigi, sister, friend, a day at a time member… your legacy is six kids, 22 grandkids, 34 great-grans, and a love of our Lord, hearts filled with memory, and voice to advocate for others. "We recall the lessons you taught us in childhood but perhaps will remember most of what you taught us and will continue to teach us in the whispers of death. We celebrate you, your life, and stories of the journey." Surviving are her children, Sharon (nee Johnson) (David), Bill (Joan), Rosie (nee Johnson) (Jim), Dave (Rosie), Dan (Robin), Tim (Neza); and siblings, Dan (Sharon) Kraft, Susie (nee Kraft) (Bruce) Furniss. Mass is 11:30 a.m. Dec. 23, 2016, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, with viewing one hour prior. Viewing also from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Preferred memorials to Serenity House, Auburn, Ind.
