Maria Tamayo De Lemus, age 92, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on December 8, 1932 to the late Apolinar Tamayo and Agustina Garcia in Guanajuato, Mexico. She loved to embroider napkins, travel, and make memories with her family and friends. She is survived by her siblings Refugio y Irais; children, Beatriz, Maria Eugenia, Manuel, Gloria, Amelia, Ofelia, Maria Ester, Miguel; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Maria is preceded in passing by her husband, Miguel; daughter, Irma; and siblings, Emma, Jose, Oliva, and Miguel. There will be a funeral service held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 5:00pm at St. Henry's Catholic Church, 2929 East Paulding Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46816, with visitation an hour prior. There will also be visitation held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Mungovan & Son's, 2114 South Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802.
