Margaret Ann Shields

Margaret Ann Shields 92, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018. She was born in Huntington, Indiana on April 4, 1925 to the late Paul A. and Marjorie Scheiber. She met her husband, James, in Fort Wayne who precedes her in death after nearly 70 years of marriage. She was a competitive bridge player, avid Notre Dame fan, but mostly a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Margaret was the silent force behind her husband in their many contributions to the Fort Wayne community. Surviving are her children, Michael (Julie) Shields, Timothy (Beth) Shields, Patty (Michael) Khorshid; grandchildren, Katie (Ben) Roussel, Kelly (Fabiana) Shields, Tim Shields, Jim (Katie) Khorshid, Dan (Alexandria) Khorshid, Bill (Amanda) Khorshid, Molly Khorshid, and six great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road Fort Wayne, IN 46825, with calling 1 hour prior. Calling will be on Monday, January 15, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons, Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road Fort Wayne, IN 46825 from 2-4 and 6-8 with Rosary service at 3:30PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Dwenger High School, Mathew 25 Health and Dental Clinic, the Community Harvest Food Bank.
