Mardelle “Mardy” R. Dies, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023. Born on June 7, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Ardelle and Adele (McClincy) Glaze. She was a member of Sigma Alpha Chi Sorority, and retired in 1999 from Fort Wayne Metals after more than 26 years of service in sales.
She is survived by her husband of more than 65 years, Joseph F. Dies; children, Gregory S. (Rita) Dies and Kelley S. Dies; siblings, Scott (Melissa) Glaze, Susan (Greg) Turk, and Karan Glaze; as well as grandchildren Greg, Jessica, Josey, and Chelsea; and great-grandson, Montgomery. She was also preceded in death by her son, Joseph L. Dies.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Johnson-Romito Funeral Homes, 19 East Main Street, Hudson, Ohio, with calling one hour prior. Calling will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, May 26, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Park, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
