M. Joann Amstutz, 79, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Adams County Memorial Hospital in Decatur. Born in Muncie, Indiana Joann was the daughter of the late John Cox and Dorothy Geller. Joann worked as a phlebotomists with St. Joseph Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St Joseph Medical Auxillary, American Society of Pathologist. Joann enjoyed reading, watching sports, volunteering at her church and her pet cats. Surviving are her son, John (Linda) Amstutz of Decatur; step-brother, Wallace Geller of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Joshua Amstutz, Ashley Brock, Marcia Brock, Zachary Amstutz; and brother-in-law, Elmer "Junior" (Kathy) Amstutz of Fort Wayne. Joann was preceded in death by her step-father, Jesse Geller; husband, Larry Amstutz; son, Allen Amstutz; and daughter, Ann Marie Brock. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am, Friday, April 6, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 518 E DeWald St with calling one hour prior. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue Thursday, April 5, 2018, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a rosary service at 6:45 pm. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
