Lynn Alan McDougall, 77, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Mr. McDougall was born on August 23, 1941 in Fort Wayne to Chuck and Dorthy (Hunt) MCDougall. Lynn served his country honorably from 1958-1965 with the United States Army during Vietnam. He also served in the Army National Guard in Indiana 1st Battalion 293rd Infantry. He married Anna Bleakney on April 3, 1971 in Fort Wayne. Lynn worked as a truck driver for 30 years. He enjoyed being outside, fishing, watching TV, and building musket guns. Survivors include his children; Richard (Nancy) Nern of Decatur, IN, Dawn (Jim) Reed of Columbia City, IN, Heidi (David) Tolliver of FL, Tammie Gibson Kanter of St. Mary's, OH, Mike McDougall of Fort Wayne, and Kelli Lawson of New Haven, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and siblings; Paulinea (Jim) Wright and Kathy Kumfer. Lynn was preceded in death by his spouse, parents, and daughter, Nichialia McDougall, 3 brothers; Jim, Raymond, and Charles McDougall. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 1:00pm with calling 2 hours prior from 11:00am-1:00pm at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46808. Burial with military honors will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be directed to Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements entrusted to C.M.
