Lori A McCray Walter

LORI A. WALTER, 52, passed peacefully and unexpectedly on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at home. Born Oct 15, 1959, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of Gary and Elaine (Fox) Hinton. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her son. She had compassion for bird watching, baking and cooking. "Her helping hands will be dearly missed and her smiling face, despite her personal ailments, will be surely lost to all." Also surviving family include her husband, Tim Walter of Fort Wayne; son, Charles Walter of Fort Wayne; sisters, Cheryl (Kelly) Shively of Garrett and Joellen Moran of Fort Wayne; brothers, Mark McCray, Andy (Ruthie) McCray and Matt (Candi) Hinton, all of Fort Wayne; mother-in-law, Justine Walter of Fort Wayne; brothers-in-law, Ron (Judy) Walter, Mike Walter, Dennis (Karen) Walter, and Patrick (Margaret) Walter, all of Fort Wayne; sisters-in-law, Ann (Jim) Michell, Cindy Walter and Lisa Walter, all of Fort Wayne; best friend, Margaret Hovel of Fort Wayne; and two beloved pets, a dog - Tippy and a cat - Itty. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert McCray; brother, David W. McCray; brother-in-law, John Moran; nephew, Alex Moran; and father-in-law, Charles Walter. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the funeral home. Preferred memorials may be made to the S.P.C.A.
