LOIS B. TARR, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital. She was born Feb. 8, 1926, in New Haven, and retired from Lincoln Life in 1991. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and their choir. "She loved to play the piano, sing and be with her family, especially her great-grandson." Surviving are her son, Steven K. Tarr of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Jenna (Josh) Crooks of Fort Wayne and Michelle Shepherd of Columbia City; great grandson, Samuel Crooks; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in 1969; parents, Delmore and Rosamond Ulrey; and sisters, Thelma Sipe, Helen Sipe and Alice Cox. Service is 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 7715 Sunny Lane with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Charles Scott officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Burial in Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton, Ind. Preferred memorials to the church.
