Lois Murphy Devine, age 85, passed away May 11, 2018 at her residence in Fort Wayne. She was born in Fort Wayne October 7, 1932 to the late Vincent and Iantha Murphy. She was a member of the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception and was coordinator for the Eucharistic Ministries for many years as well as an usher. Lois was employed at the IBM Corporation for 21 years, retiring as senior secretary in 1992, and executive secretary with Superior Manufacturing division for 9 years, retiring in 2002. She was an active member of the Central High School Class of 1952 reunion committee. Lois is survived by her daughter, Maureen Devine of Fort Wayne; sons, Johnny (Shannon) Devine of Tallahassee, Florida, and Kevin Devine of St. Louis, Missouri; twin grandsons, Cole Devine and Trent Devine; brother, Joseph (Sharon) Murphy of Fort Wayne; sister, Carolyn (Francis) Hirl of Fort Wayne; brothers-in-law, Thomas (Kathy) Devine of Fort Wayne and Richard (Jan) Devine of Indianapolis. She was proceeded in death by her husband, John Devine in 2003; and her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 am, Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1122 S. Calhoun St. with calling one hour prior. Calling also at Mungovan Simple, 2114 S. Calhoun Street on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary service at 3:30 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
