IN. She was born April 4, 1944, in Lebanon, IN, the daughter of Ralph L. and Erma C. Thompson. Linda
graduated from Central High School in Fort Wayne, in 1962. She worked at Fort Wayne Developmental
Center in Fort Wayne for 25 years and retired in 2005.
Linda never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone who crossed her path. She
was every baby’s “favorite aunt” and had a passion for helping others. She always spoke so fondly of her
years working for the Fort Wayne Developmental Center, the friends she made there and the residents
she cared for. She loved all kinds of movies, especially a John Wayne western, and most weekends
could be found at the movie theater watching a new release…or two! She had a special place in her
heart for all kitties, but especially her “daughter”, Sassy, who was aptly named and her loving
companion for many years.
Linda is survived by her brother, David (Sue) Thompson of Fort Wayne, IN; sister, Sharon (Victor)
Siebeneck of Wolcottville, IN; nephew Michael (Candice) Thompson of Fort Wayne, IN; and great nieces,
Rosie, Lucie, and Eleanor.
She was preceded in death by her sister in law, Sharron Thompson.
Funeral service will be 1:30 pm. Tuesday January 30, 2024, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park
Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation from 10:30 am-1:30 pm Tuesday.
Entombment at Highland Park Cemetery.
