Linda A Hilton, 74, of New Haven, IN joined her husband Bill on June 16, 2021. Born on April 12, 1947 in St. Paul, MN she was the daughter of the late Richard G. Scharffbillig and Cordella M (Scharffbillig) Lantz. She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, William HIlton. She was a member of the Post 330 American Legion in New Haven serving the auxiliary in many capacities. Linda worked at GE, Richardo’s, HJS Sound Equipment and Schnelker Marine. She loved cross stitching, puzzles and reading. She lived most of her life in New Haven, IN. She was a graduate of New Haven High School where she participated in Marching and Concert Band.
She is survived by her sisters, Bonnie (Herman) Schnelker, Kathleen (Tim) Holt, Barbara (Tom) Lewis, Loretta (Rick) Hitch and step-sister, Georgelyn Sue Lantz. She was preceded in death by a sister, Denise (Raymond Daniel) Schuckel. She is also survived by several great-great nephews, great nephews and nieces, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 on Tuesday, June 29th at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 943 Powers Street, New Haven, IN 46774 with calling one hour prior.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, June 28th at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815.
