Linda Kaye Gibson

Linda Kay Gibson, 68, born August 15, 1948, in Fort Wayne to the late John and Alice Smead met our lord and savior, Jesus Christ on February 14, 2017. Linda retired from Lincoln Life/ Swiss Re Insurance Company where she worked as an executive assistant. She enjoyed riding with her husband on their Harley, touring wineries, touring Chicago, spending time with her family including her beautiful golden "son" Max, and promoting her love of Christ by volunteering church services at a local care facility. Linda is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 36 years, Robert Lee Gibson of Fort Wayne; daughters, Angela (Derek Land) Fleming Land of Newberry, FL and Michelle (Vince Vanderford) Fleming Vanderford of Altamonte Springs, FL; grandchildren, Ashley Land, Corbin Land, Taylor Millar, Emily Vanderford, Thomas Land, Hunter Vanderford; great granddaughter, Addyson Pittman; and siblings, Pastor John Smead, Jr., Tom Smead, and Sue Newhouser. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 2 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 with visitation two hour prior. Inurnment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
