Leonard "Butch" A. Adams

Leonard “Butch” A. Adams, 73, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at his residence. Leonard was born on April 28, 1945, in Fort Wayne to the late Leonard and Mildred (Palmer) Adams. He attended Southside High School in Fort Wayne. Leonard was a welder for Custom Tube Form in Fort Wayne for many years before retiring in 2007. After retirement he helped at the local bait and tackle shop. Leonard was a family man that loved fishing and hunting, playing bass guitar and singing with Country Men Band. Leonard will be missed for his quick wit and his love of reciting jokes. Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Connie Adams of Fort Wayne, children; Leonard (Misty) Adams, Kelli Adams of Fort Wayne, Chris (Todd) Barton of Fort Wayne, Nicki (Dustin) Janes of Harrisburg, North Carolina, Dawn (Matt) Donnahey of Fort Wayne, Denise Cox of Fort Wayne, Jeffery (Rhonda) Bigelow of Ossian, Timothy (Chris) Bigelow of Grabill, and Megan Leckrone of Fort Wayne, 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother; Gordon Adams of Fort Wayne, and Sister; Cheri Means of Fort Wayne, and his dog and companion, Hunter. He was preceded in death by a brother Michael. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 2 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Avenue Fort Wayne, IN with calling one hour prior, with Pastor David Martin officiating. Calling also Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Uniontown Cemetery in Ossian, IN. Memorial donations may be directed to the Donor’s Choice.
