OBITUARY
Larry D. Parker
October 7, 1950 – June 19, 2023
IN THE CARE OF
Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Highland Park
On June 19, 2023, Larry passed peacefully and rode his Harley up the golden staircase. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Everett, Indiana. Born October 7th, 1950, Larry was the son of the Bill (Marilyn) Parker and the late Jean (Bill) West. He was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served his country. Larry was employed many years at Stiffler Drywall of Fort Wayne but never really quit working. He loved retirement, and spent his days on his homestead at Lake Everett with his wife and many family members near by.
He is survived by his lifelong soulmate, his wife Hazel Parker. A love, friendship and devotion between two people that many dream about. Larry leaves behind sons Danny (Ann) Parker, and Joe (Tara) Parker; grandchildren, Kailee Gavin, Jordan (Danielle) Parker, Alexess Parrish, Tyler Parker, Nick Parker, Jake Parker; great-grandchildren, Emma, Knox, Nash, Cam and Bryce. Larry also had many nieces and nephews that he enjoyed at every Holiday Dinner at the lake. John Pendergrass has always been Larry’s best friend & brother-in-law. Where you seen one, the other was not far behind. Too many stories to tell about these two, and probably too many things that would be censored for public view. Larry is also survived by brothers, Mike Parker, Steve (Ava) Parker, Art (Laura) West, Ronnie West, Corey Hiner, and Shawn Hiner; and sisters, Patty Lichpsinn, Beverly (Dan) Shaw, Sonya (Mike) Keller. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Brenda West.
Everyone that knew and loved Larry are welcome to pay your respects at a Graveside Service Monday, June 26th, 3:00 P.M. at Riverview Cemetery, 11428 Carroll Rd, Churubusco, Indiana. A dinner for family and friends will be hosted by Larry's niece, Mary (Tim) Pancake, at the lake. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Larry’s wife Hazel to assist with arrangements.
Special Thanks to the amazing staff at Parkview Heart Institute and visiting nurses from the V.A.
