He was a graduate of Leo High School, and matriculated from Indiana University with a B.S.Ed. in Visual Arts Education and M.S.Ed. in Art Education. Ken would complete the curriculum, short of his dissertation, for his Ph.D. in Art Education from Penn State University. During his career, Ken taught for Marion Community, Fort Wayne Community and Canterbury Schools. His teaching career and education would be derailed by his debilitating health issues.
Ken loved his custom log home on Maplecrest Road, later covered by siding, but the cabin is still evident and preserved on the interior.
Ken's passion for the arts was surpassed only by his faith; he was a member of Crosspointe Community Church. Initially located on Stellhorn Road, the church would relocate downtown to Pearl Street and he would continue as a member as the church transitioned to Praise International Church. He was a loving and caring friend and will be missed by those who were fortunate to have known him.
Ken is survived by his sister, Sharon J. Bojrab; and niece, Tammy J. Bojrab. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Janice (Bojrab) Shelton; and Barbara Ellen Bojrab.
Funeral Service is 1:00 pm Friday, November 3 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Rd, Fort Wayne with calling beginning at 11:30 am. Friends and family will also be received 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 2 at the funeral home.
