Kathleen L. Johnson

Kathleen Louise “Kathy” Johnson, 76, of Fort Wayne passed away, November 8, 2013. She was born on March 30, 1937 in Fort Wayne to the late Carl V. and Louesa S. (Railing) Whittenbarger. She worked at Macy’s as a sales associate for 17 years. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church and a crocheting club. She enjoyed her work as a seamstress and loved her cat. Surviving family include her children, Philip J. (Jennifer) Johnson, Theresa A. “Teri” Johnson, Denise K. “Deni” Zent; grandchildren, Angie and Eric; one great granddaughter; and sister, Bonnie Witte. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, James Philip Johnson and sister, Velma Leeper. A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 W. State Blvd., Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with a vigil service at 7:30 pm. Burial will be at Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Masses or Allen County SPCA.
