Karen J. Krill - Long, 67, ended her earthly journey peacefully and began her new life in Heaven on May 24, 2011, surrounded by her four sons. She was a cardiac RN who dedicated herself to healing hearts and providing comfort. Whether professionally or personally, she always put the needs and interest of others before her own. She sacrificially gave her time and talents to those she knew and was fiercely loyal and family oriented. She loved animals and took special care of her pets. Movie dates with her family was a favorite pastime. Surviving are sons, Robert, Andy, and Brian Long all of Fort Wayne and Randy (Betty) Long of Lake In The Hills, IL; sister, Diana J. McIntosh of Fort Wayne; brother, Donald M. (Yvonne) Krill of Hoagland; grandchildren, Linda and Justin Long of Lake in the Hills, IL and Skyler Long of Fort Wayne; nieces and nephews, Jill and Glen (Julie) McIntosh, and David (Beth), Derek and Charlie Krill. Preceding her in daeth were her parents, Maurice L. and Bonnie A. (Hart) Krill. Services are Friday, May 27, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2131 Getz Road, Fort Wayne with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation is also on Thursday from 4-8 P.M. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
