Julia Antas

Julia Antas, 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Silver Birch of Fort Wayne. She was born on August 7, 1930 in Puerto Rico to the late Casimiro and Juana (Bonilla) Ramos. She married Julio Antas and together raised three children, Janet, Marti, and Edwin. Mrs. Antas worked as an inspector for Remington Razors. Julia enjoyed cooking, she was well known to ‘whip’ anything up, but she will always be fondly remembered for her Empanadas and Puerto Rican Baseballs. She also enjoyed going to casinos, especially Las Vegas with her daughter and granddaughter. Julia is survived by her children, Janet (Mike) Roman, Marti (David) Leavins, and Edwin Antas; grandchildren, Wesley Garcia, Walter Czarneski, Jared Czarneski, Hilary (Nate) Alderete, and Chandler Roman; and a great-grandson, Will Alderete. She is also preceded in death by husband, Julio; and grandsons, Connor Roman and Andy Garcia. A Memorial Service is planned for Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 3 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Calling will be from 1 pm until the start of the service.
