Judson E Gerber 60, of Fort Wayne passed away Thursday September 1, 2011 at Hospice with his family with him. Born October 4, 1950 in Quito Ecuador, lived in Argentina, Costa Rica, Mexico City. He was the son of Vergil and Dorothy Gerber. He was married July 6, 1974 to Elizabeth Duddie. Missing him are his children Mary, Daniel, and Holly Gerber, four grandchildren Olivia, Hope, Daniel Jr., Lillian. Brothers and sisters Richard (Nancy) Gerber of Columbia City; Ruth (Gary) Leman of Fort Wayne; Jarred (Beth) Gerber of Roanoke; Janna Jacobs of Naperville IL. Judson was a Manager at the local Home Depot. He loved working at a job where he talked with people. He often would use his Spanish skills to interpret for Hispanic customers. Judson was involved with the Grub and Go guys at Fellowship. He did not know a stranger everybody was his friend. He had a great since of humor and loved to joke with everyone. He was preceded in death by his father Vergil G. Gerber. Funeral Service is 10:00 am Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Fellowship Missionary Church, 2536 E. Tillman Rd. with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
