Jordan Young Chin, 21, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 unexpectedly, but peacefully at home.
Jordan was born on April 30, 2000 in Fort Wayne, IN to James Chin and Esther Garcia. In 2017, Jordan made the decision to honorably serve our country and joined the U.S. Army National Guard up until her passing. In her spare time, Jordan loved to strum the guitar and loved being the life of the party in the presence of her family and friends. More than anything, she enjoyed making memories with those that she loved most.
Jordan is survived by her Father James Y. Chin, Mother Esther G. Garcia, and Step-father Pedro “Pete” Garcia and Step-Grandmother Dora H. Garcia all of Fort Wayne. Siblings; Joel Ortiz Jr., Noel Ortiz, Brandon Chin, Justin Chin, Trinity Harris, and Step-brother Tristan Walburn, all of Fort Wayne. Sisters Taylor Vargas and Braxton (Simba) Myers of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces. Jordan is preceded in death by Grandparents Wing T. Chin and Mo Won Moy Chin, Jesus Gloria Reyna, Maria Guadalupe Reyna, Ernesto G. Garcia, Uncle Armando Garcia and Cousins Tony Galvan and Christopher Juillerat.
Christian Service is at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Brookside Church, 6102 Evard Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Friday, Feb. 25, 2022 at D.O. McComb & Sons 4017 Maplecrest Rd., Fort Wayne. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
