John Forrest Roberson, 70 passed away Wednesday September 9, 2020 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born September 21, 1949 in Boston, MA to the late Vivian Roberson and Ivy Roberson whom survives. John was a Vietnam War Army Veteran and proudly served his country. He was a member of the Fort Wayne Police Department for 19 years and after retirement was a truck driver for an additional 7 years. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Ball State Baseball fan and enjoyed camping. He had a heart of gold and was a sponsor of St. Jude Children’s Hospital. John is survived by his loving wife Cynthia Roberson of Fort Wayne, IN; children Dyanna (Jason) Zorger of Fort Wayne, Justan Patnoude of Bryon, GA; Melanie (John) Heuerman, Danielle Roberson both of Fort Wayne, Alicia (Jason) Underwood of Fort Wayne,IN, Yolie (Vinny) Lupe of GA, siblings, Ivy Roberson, Nancy (John) Brown, Ronnie Roberson, Sherry Roberson all of TX, Daryl Roberson of GA, nine grandchildren and his dog Jack. Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Thursday September 17, 2020 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also Wednesday September 16, 2020 from 3-5 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Social Distancing will be observed. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Cynthia Roberson.
