John D. Quick

John D. Quick, 89 of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away November 9, 2024. John was born in Marion, Indiana the only child of the late Asher D. Quick and Emma M. (née Smith) Quick. John graduated from Indiana University and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and Student Manager for the I.U. men’s baseball team. He served admirably in the U.S. Army retiring with rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Afterwards, he worked in the insurance industry for over 50 years. He spent many years coaching youth baseball and basketball. John was a member of St. Joe United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne. John is survived by his sons, Steven (Kristi) Quick of Fishers, Indiana and Andrew (Shelley) Quick of Sarasota, Florida; granddaughter, Mallory Quick; and great-granddaughter, Nahla White both of Sarasota. He was preceded in passing by his beautiful bride, Donna J. (Fisher) Quick of 48 years; baby boy, Robert J. Quick; and subsequent wives, Carol Quick and Barbara Quick. Funeral Service is 11:00 AM Saturday, November 16, 2024 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Maplewood Park with calling one hour prior. Friends and family will be received 4 - 7 PM, Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Funeral Home. Private Interment at Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.
