John Guadalupe Perez

John G. "Lupe" Perez, 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away June 21, 2015. He was born on January 16, 1940 in Dallas, Texas to the late Anthony and Mercedes (Pená) Perez. He retired after 35 years of service from Fort Wayne Foundry as a welder. He enjoyed watching many different sports, especially baseball, football, and Nascar but mostly he enjoyed fishing. Surviving family includes wife, Mary Perez; son, Johnny (Christine) Perez; granddaughter, Amanda Perez; great grandsons, Caleb Perez and Gabriel Lopez; sister, Yolanda (Bob) Suarez; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his brothers, Manuel and Tony Perez. A funeral service will be 11:30 am on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with visitation starting at 10:30 am. Visitation will also be from 5-8 pm on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorial may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
