John Todd Jensen, 52, passed away Tuesday February 22, 2022 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born March 21, 1969 in Grand Junction, CO. the son of Bob Jensen and Sharon O’Moore. John graduated from Tucson High School, Tucson, AZ in 1987.
John was an accomplished BMX racer in his pre-teens and teens racing on Arizona and Colorado circuits. As a young man and adult, he bowled in different leagues rolling many 299’s in search of the perfect 300 game. Played baseball and football in school. Later as an adult he enjoyed the outdoors of Colorado skiing, golfing, camping/fishing and hiking.
In his early work career, he worked for Warning Lites & Equipment in the road construction industry in Colorado, later he moved to Indiana and became the Director of Sales for Lincoln a Welbilt Company for 25 years.
His life partner Don R Martin of Sweetser, IN. He passed April 2005 later John met Joe Bates of Paris, Tennessee in May 2011. Joe passed July 2021.
John is survived by his parents, Sharon O’Moore of Lakeland, FL; Bob Jensen (Jamie Heckman) of Topack, AZ; sister Carrie Vessey of Lakeland, FL; brother Tim Weitzel of North Carolina. Three Nephews, Steven Vessey, Erik Vessey, and Christopher Vessey. One Niece, Ashley Collet and nine Great Nephews and Nieces. Two schnauzer’s Jake and Happy.
There will be a Celebration on Life at a later date in Fort Wayne, IN. Donations in the name of John Jensen to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/ in lieu of flowers.
