John Clark Hill was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 18th 1953. He died at his residence in Fort Wayne. As a child he was involved in boy scouts. He graduated from Snider High School, where he played varsity football. He continued his education at DePaul University and Indiana University where he received his bachelor’s degree in political science.
He was a very kind, gentle and fun loving man. He adopted three children from a troubled home and was called dad from day one. Even though he had struggles of his own he continued to be supportive of his children’s decisions.
His hobbies were listening to the radio, he enjoyed both talk radio and classic rock. He also enjoyed going to baseball games with his children. He liked watching Purdue football. He looked forward to going to monthly meetings with his fellow masons.
Clark is survived by his children Lois (Randy) Squire, Jon (Joanna) Hill, Kenneth Hill, Victoria Paige Hill, Foster, Daniel Sorrell, and brother Bruce (Molly) Hill. He also leaves grandchildren Theron, Calloway, Langston, Chase, and Haylea, and nephews and nieces Andrew Hill, Patrick Hill, and Theresa (Mark) Vermeersch. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; Curt and Ann Hill.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity English Lutheran Church 405 W. Wayne St. Sat 10 A.M. August 15th 2015. Friends may call at the church from 9 A.M. until service time. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or the Masonic Temple.
