John Richard Bash, age 76 passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. John was born in Fort Wayne. John was a member and a past District Commander of the American Legion. He attended Northside High School graduating in 1966 before joining the Army National Guard. He was the owner of Bash Building Company for 38 years before retiring in 2012. He loved his family, hockey, and Indiana basketball. John was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. Bash Sr. and Edith R. Bash and a brother, Robert W. Bash Jr. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Lindenwood Cemetery at 10:00am Friday, August 2nd. All who knew John are welcome. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in John's honor may be made to American Legion Charities, Tunnels to Towers Foundation, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
