Jessie Bowers

JESSIE E. BOWERS, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011. She was born June 17, 1927 in Stigler, Okla. Surviving relatives include her children, Roxanne (D.J.) Chilcote and Vicki (Richard) Francies both of Fort Wayne and Barbara (Norman) Hirschy of Decatur; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bowers of Clarksville, Tenn.; siblings, Walter Holloway, Clare Hanthorne and Gert Bowser; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Bowers; daughter, Teresa Bowers; son, Steven Bowers; three grandsons; one great granddaughter; four brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday May 28, 2011 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. The family invites guests to dress casually, blue jeans are fine. Calling also from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2011 at the funeral home.
