Jeffery was born on February 24, 1947 to Charles F. and Alice Hill. He graduated from Bishop Luers High School in 1965. He joined the Air Force and most notably was stationed in Puerto Rico before his Honorable Discharge. After his service, he worked with UPS as a driver until his retirement.
Jeff was preceded in death by his wife, Barbra Hill, (2021) and sister, Joanna Jacobs (2021). He is survived by Cousin Cappy, sister-in law Carol Lokenberg (John) from Florida, cousins-in-law George D. (Cappy) Mercer (Bev) from Michigan, Kent Mercer (Laura) from Michigan, and Susan Raimondi (Mike) from Arizona, brother-in-law Barry Jacobs from Indiana, niece Danielle Talarico (Sam) from Indiana, nephews Adam Taylor (Tricia) from Virginia, Jim Taylor (Patty) from Arizona, Georg Brewer (Kathy) from New Jersey, Richard Brewer (Carmen) from Virginia, several great nieces and nephews and long-time family friends Kathy Johnson and Chuck and Sally Frohnaphel.
Jeff’s love of water started as a child at the family cottage on Big Long Lake and continued at his own cottage on Coldwater Lake. He also loved his “boys” Cooper and Casey, both after a long line of Golden Retrievers he and Barbra had over the years. They were his children who continued to visit with him even after he moved to Kingston.
Jeff will always be remembered by his sense of humor and the sparkle in his eyes. The love of his life, Barbra, was always on his mind and lips right up to the end.
Funeral services for Jeff will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11:00 am at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Highland Park, 2403 E. Wallen Rd., Fort Wayne, Indiana. Visitation will be one hour prior.
