JANICE K. STEPHENS, 59, of Fort Wayne, died on Saturday, June 5, 2010, 7:42 a.m., at Lutheran Hospital. Born on Aug. 9, 1950, in Fort Wayne, she was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Gary W. Stephens of Fort Wayne; daughter, Renee (Ray) Shadle of Fort Wayne; son, Jason Stephens of Fort Wayne; brothers, Jeffrey (Susan) Spillers of Wesley Chapel, Fla. and Dennis (Kathy) Spillers of Fort Wayne; sister, Yvonne (Mark) Bengs of Fort Wayne; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Jr. and Pauline (Baranuk) Spillers; and a sister, Luann Spillers."She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and as a loving daughter she took care of her mother for 15 yrs." Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Steve Gift officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
