JANICE M. SMITH, 77, of Fort Wayne, died on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at her residence. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Eddie Burg and Gertrude Tuttle. She was a waitress at Minnie's Diner. Surviving are her seven sons, Rick (Dezzi) Anderson of Columbia City, Dan (Sheila) Anderson and Robert Payne, both of Fort Wayne, Steve (Karen) Payne of Janesville, Wis., Kevin (Hugh) Payne, Jack Deaton and Marcus (Tracy) Payne, all of Fort Wayne; one daughter, Terri Payne of Fort Wayne; three brothers, Robert (Margy) Tuttle, Jack (Pat) Tuttle and Tom Arnold, all of Fort Wayne; 75 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Smith Sr.; children, Melinda Lukins, Cheryl Payne, Dale Payne, and Rebecca Anderson. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday at C.M.
