Jane Ellen Harmeyer

Jane Ellen Harmeyer, 85, of Fort Wayne, peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family. Jane was born on October 25, 1936 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late Ira and Mildred (Collins) Clevenger. She was a 1954 graduate of South Side High School. Jane was a 60-year member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne where she was baptized and married. Jane was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother creating a beautiful and loving home for her family. In her free time, she enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens. Surviving family include her husband, Stan Harmeyer; sons, Mike (Tina) Harmeyer, Tim (Cinnamon) Harmeyer, Ron (Brigid) Harmeyer; eight grandchildren, Tyler (Sarah), Cameron, David, Colin, Emma, Thomas, Jonathan and Joseph; one great-granddaughter, Aila Jane; and sister, Peggy Cook. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and four brothers. A Christian funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1636 St. Mary’s Ave., Fort Wayne. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
