James H. Shell, aged 67, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025. He was born on August 3, 1957, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to parents James and Joyce (Malone) Shell. After graduating from Snider High School, James would honorably serve our country for four years in the Air Force. He was a lover of all sports and was often found watching any game cheering on his favorite teams. When it came to music, James loved to listen to rock n’ roll. James is survived by his children, Amanda (Brandon Johnson) Vanelli, Joshua (Krista) Shell, Derrick Shell; sister, Leona Resendez; nieces, Nichole “Pickle” Slater, Burgandy Dean, Justice Dean, Leinai Washington; step-grandchildren, Ali Malone, Kellen Malone; and best friend, Austin Herrick. James is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Cathy Kenney and Mike Frederick. A graveside service will be held for James at Marion National Cemetery 1700 E 38th St, Marion, IN 46953 on Friday, April 18, 2025 at 9AM.
