James A Miller

James A. Miller “Cowboy Jim” age 86, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on March 11, 2023. He was born on July 8, 1936 in Fort Wayne, to the late Alfred E. and Pauline (Robbins) Miller. James was a meter reader for over 40 years with Fort Wayne City Utilities. James enjoyed archery, cross bow, hunting, turtle fishing and he loved playing the guitar and harmonica. James loved being around family and friends along with karaoke and playing cards. He also enjoyed scrapping and riding horses. He is survived by, his daughters, Kanda Handa, Teresa (Alan) Fawley; grandchildren, Jamie Lee (Jan) Miller, Laura Lynn Bonano, Ricardo Alberto (Miranda) Bonano, Michelle (Jonathan) Alexander, Ashley (Jake) Leicht, Angelica and Milton Bonano; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Laura I. Miller; son, James (Nancy) Miller; and sister, Donna Ramsey. A visitation for James will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 and on Thursday, March 16, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 16th, at 11:00 AM at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Burial to follow at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Covington Memorial Gardens at 8408 Covington Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804.
