James E. McArdle

James E. McArdle, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday August 16, 2013, at his home, with his family by his side. Born in Monroeville, he was a son of the late Frank and Rose McArdle. A member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, he retired in 1993 from Jim Kelly Buick, after 50 years of service, as Parts Manager.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years (married October 2, 1954), Agnes McArdle; children, Mary E. (Jeff Lickey) McArdle, Molly A. (Paul Walker dec.) McArdle, Michael E. McArdle, and Thomas P. McArdle; sisters, Rosemary Davies, and Jeanette McArdle; grandchildren, Michelle, Elizabeth, Dylan, Katherine, & Hannah, and; great-granddaughter, Kadance. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, F. Joseph, Bill, J. Robert, and Jack McArdle; and sister, Mary Helen Hall.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Tuesday August 20, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, Monday August 19, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Catholic Charities, Poor Handmaids, Matthew 25, or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Parish or School.
