James Dean Lane, 80, of Fort Wayne passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. He was born on July 11, 1942 in Ohio, a son of the late Ellen Fancher. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He had a career at Seyfert's Potato Chips for over 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed telling jokes, going to the park, and will be remembered for his willingness to do anything for anyone. He especially loved spending time with his family. Surviving family include his children, Renee Lane, Chris Lane, and Tina Jackson; grandchildren, Joshua, Joseph, Johnathan, along with four additional grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior.
